2009-2010 Season
New Works Calgary is proud to present its 2009-2010 season, Timescapes. After celebrating our 25th anniversary last season we are excited to embark on the next 25 years of new music. This season we have four exceptional concerts that showcase Albertan and other Canadian composers.
What’s new for this year is that we will be producing an entire concert of sonic art works as well as a concert by Tim Brady that features multi-media. Computers and other media have become an important part of life and have become an excellent source for creating and performing music. A new time calls for new ways to express music. We will also be featuring local musicians by producing concerts with Ensemble Resonance and Rubbing Stone Ensemble. These two concerts will emphasize the live performance experience and represent the music of our time. If you love new music I invite you to become a member of New Works Calgary!
